Haven's Annual Gourmet Dinner 2010 May 19th.

Once again our versatile Vocational and Youth Chairman, Mike Self, organised this years Gourmet Dinner at The Ambitions Restaurant at the Great Yarmouth College.

This dinner affords the opportunity for the final years students to practice at first hand both the cooking of gourmet meals and the experience of serving it before a selected clientele.

40 Members and guests attended and were impressed by the standard of both the presentation of food and the service.

As usual a raffle was held and prizes were donated by well known local celebrity chefs ( ** see below ) and  members for this. A very successful evening, well organised and Mike estimated that the profit for the Vocational and Youth Committee would be about 650.

A donation of 200 was presented to the students out of the monies raised.

He thanked all the students and staff involved for their service throughout the evening.

      Nick Mobbs donated a 3 course luncheon for 2 at the Imperial Hotel.
