An encouraging 32 members and guests attended the 36th Charter Night Anniversary dinner at the new venue of The Imperial Hotel. Meeting 7.00pm for 7.30pm .

Guest speaker was Lorne Green the Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner.

An excellent 4 course dinner was quickly and efficiently served by the staff of The Imperial Hotel. ( Menu see below in photos ) Following the Loyal Toast to the Queen, a toast then was made to the Founder Members. A response for this was by Tony King on behalf of the 9 still serving in the Club. President Malcolm talked of the help and advice he had had throughout his year of office and in conclusion awarded " The Rotarian of the Year " honour and tankard to Rotarian Alan Spinks, for his work as Secretary, Webmaster and Organiser Chairman of the annual Duck Races. Alan thanked Malcolm for his kind words and the award.

After a short break, Malcolm introduced Lorne Green to give his views on his role as Commissioner in Norfolk. Lorne gave a fascinating and interesting insight into how he has control and power in his elected job. His talk was punctuated with many real life incidents and surprised the listeners with what was going on in Norfolk at this time.

Rotarian Bob Price summed up the thoughts of the members and thanked Lorne for attending our Charter evening and giving such an interesting talk.
